There are many big moves that could happen in the summer transfer window with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea looking for a striker and Manchester United looking for midfielders and defenders. Several top players could be making switches and these are some of them.

Luis Suarez to Real Madrid: This is a transfer saga that could go on for the whole of the summer window. Suarez signed a new contract for Liverpool in December from which he earns around £200,000 a week. He has distanced himself from the rumours but yesterday, it was reported that his agent said it would be very difficulty to turn down an offer from Real Madrid. It is relatively easy for Suarez to say that he is happy and he just wants to focus on the World Cup now. However, if Real put the offer on the table and he has the opportunity to play with the Champions League winners, with Cristiano Ronaldo on one side of him and Gareth Bale on the other, it will be interesting if he says no.

Radamel Falcao to ? : Falcao’s season was cut short by a knee ligament injury in January meaning that he only played 17 games in Ligue 1 for AS Monaco, scoring 9 goals. He recently said that he wants to move to the Premier League some time in his career and if he wants to go to a top club, he is running out of time due to his age of 28. Chelsea and Arsenal both need world class strikers and despite the former being close to a deal for Althetico Madrid man Diego Costa, there is no doubt Falcao would grab the interest of the two.

Edinson Cavani to ? : Cavani scored 16 goals in 31 Ligue 1 games for Paris Saint-Germain last season but that does not tell the whole story. Laurent Blanc adopted a 4-3-3 formation throughout the season with Cavani pushed out to the right wing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the centre and Ezequiel Lavezzi to the left. This frustrated Cavani as he was often playing second fiddle to Ibrahimovic, compared to when he was the spearhead of the team during his time at Napoli. It was also reported that he was unhappy with the quality of the French league. He has been linked with several clubs and it would not be surprising to see him leave PSG this summer.

Mario Balotelli to Arsenal: There have been recent rumours that Arsenal may get Balotelli this transfer window. He has been the subject of racial abuse during his spell at AC Milan and apparently the club wants to sell him for £30 million. The unpredictably brilliant forward scored 14 goals from 30 Serie A games last term and showed in Euro 2012 the quality he has. His previous bust ups with players and managers may put Arsenal off but if Arsene Wenger can crack the code of Balotelli, he has a real player on his hands.

Cesc Fabregas to Arsenal: This seems more likely to happen than Fabregas to Manchester United because of his history with Arsenal and how much he means to the fans. Fabregas spent almost 8 years at the club including a spell where he wore the captain’s armband. The Arsenal fans love him so since it looks like he will be leaving Barcelona, Arsenal are the most likely to sign him back. Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea said that he is doing all he can to try and convince Fabregas to go to Old Trafford but from his point of view, would he want to go there and be hated and booed by Arsenal fans? However, that did not stop Robin van Persie when he joined United.
